Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Lighting has not been on my side since 2 weeks ago (for some reason the lighting in my studio is horrible, that's why the pictures came out a little more yellow than I would have liked). Anywho, I recieved the Apotherderm acne clarifying treatment about a month ago. There are some pros and cons to this product that I have.
From their website: Our Acne Clarifying Treatment is a two-in-one problem solver to help eliminate breakouts and minimize pore size. This formula is packed with beta hydroxy acid and SmartPeptide® to help reduce the appearance of blemishes and future breakouts. Oil-free, fragrance free and dermatologist tested.
Pro: It has a pump. You can pump out however much you want.
Pro: It contains Salicylic Acid, which is good for my skin, because my skin works with that.
Con: You can't tell how much product is left inside, because the top doesn't screw off.
Con: The smell. If you don't like the smell, you will probably not like this product (I didn't have a problem with it, but some people might)
I only used this product for a month, and it smells kind of herby. If you like that type of smell, then try this out. As far as the product goes, it worked for me. My pores on my nose area do look smaller, and the treatment does seem to get rid of acne. I do also use my clarisonic still. Not every night, but about 3 to 4 times a week.
This acne treatment retails for $32.50 online. Which is not bad in my opinion. Compared to Murad's acne treatment products which average around $35 to $40.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using
Tomoson.com.Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
